Changlin Company Ltd., (China), established in 1960, went public in 1996 and is listed on the Shanghai Security Exchange. Changlin also owns the National Research & Development Center, ensuring a strong technical ability to develop and modify its products.
Changlin's product range includes, Motor Graders, Wheel Loaders, Road Rollers, Backhoe Loaders and many more other products. All of which rank as the leading position among China's construction machinery manufacturers. Their annual output capacity has reached a total of 10,000 units. Changlin's two joint ventures with Changzhou Hyundai, the Excavator manufacturer, and Changzhou Komatsu, the manufacturer of the big-capacity Loader, both rank as No.1 in China. In 2003, the total turnover of Changlin and its two joint ventures reached 1 billion US Dollars. Changlin has been on the path of rapid development.
In 1995, Changlin began its substantial cooperation with 2 international giants. Joint ventures were established with Komatsu and Hyundai, with a total investment of 80 million US Dollars. These have been successfully operating since their conception.
In the last ten years, Changlin has invested more than 40 million US Dollars in updating its production equipment facilities. Which include numerical machining centers, multi-purpose heat treatment stoves, numerical cutting machines, welding robots, a material pretreatment line providing de-rusting and leveling, and auto warehousing which is one hundred percent computer controlled. Changlin also has the longest wheel loader assembly line in China, as well as a multi-function test yard providing a variety of working conditions. This investment has greatly helped Changlin to increase its capability, both in development and manufacturing.
In 1999, Changlin started to cooperate with Komatsu of Japan for producing Motor Grader. They have three different options for this product; they are 165,190 and 220 horsepower. Also, there are three different kinds of engines and many different kinds of attachments as options.
The vibrating Roller series range from 12 tons, 14 tons, 16 tons, 18 tons, and 20 tons in operating weight. These are mechanically driven. 18/21 and 21/25 are three drums static rollers. They have 20 and 27 tons in operating weight of Pneumatic Tyred Rollers.
Changlin has been awarded certificates for both ISO9001 and ISO14001, the first company in China's construction machinery industry to achieve both.
A vast number of their products have been widely used in many world-famous projects in China. For example, the Three-Gorge project, which is the biggest reservoir in the world, the Qinghai-Tibet Railway, the highest railway in the world.
Changlin Motor Graders are already introduced in India their several units and working with leading Road construction companies on NHAI Road projects all over India.
